John Logue is believed to be the son of Elizabeth Warren (1728-1782) and George Logue (1720-1778), both of whom were born in County Donegal, Ireland, immigrated to America about 1772 and died in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

On June 18, 1777, John Logue enlisted in the 1st Class of the Chester County Militia commanded by Colonel John Hannum and was assigned to Captain John Ramsey's Company during the Revolutionary War. We believe Captain Ramsey's Company was assigned to the 2nd Battalion.

His Revolutionary War Military Abstract Card, on file in the Pennsylvania State Archives, is shown on the top left.

John married Mary Buchanan Sproul (1770-1840) in 1793 in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

James (1794-1879) •
William (1796-1865)
