When Inez' sister Lois married Guy Collins and moved to the Montague area, Inez decided to pay them a visit. While visiting, she met Charley Falls, a likely chap, who was living with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Hattie) Carter. Inez and Charley fell in love and were married in the parlor at Inez' parents' home in Moore on May 17, 1916. Mr. and Mrs. Hartley (Della) Lambert were the attendants, she being Inez' cousin. Mr. Earl Rothrock, a teacher and friend of the family, played the Wedding March and sang. Charley and Inez set up housekeeping on a farm in the Montague area. Aldean Margaret was born June 5, 1917, and Dorothy Evelyn was born April 5, 1921.
In about 1923 the Charley Falls family moved to the Moore area, living on a farm east of Moore until 1926 or 1927 when they moved to Kansas for a short period of time; then to Libby, Montana, where Charley worked in the lumber business until 1933; then back to the Montague area to farm. Charley was killed in a farm accident May 5, 1953. From February 1958 until 1983 Inez lived with her daughter Dorothy Cook in Fort Benton and Great Falls. She was in a Fort Benton nursing home from 1983 until her death in 1986.
Inez was known for her beautiful flower gardens and her ability to make the best pies and cinnamon rolls in the world; Inez loved playing church hymns on the family piano. She loved to travel and had a great spirit of adventure. Inez was a loving grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother with an infectious laugh and a gentle and generous spirit. Inez was a member of the Fort Benton Rebekah Lodge #105 since October 2, 1941.
