HERBERT BRODIE DIES
Herbert Brodie, a long-time resident of Emporia, died Sunday evening in San Francisco, where he had lived in recent years.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Mr. Brodie, who was born May 7th, 1895, in Emporia, was the son of the late John and Annie Lewis Brodie. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. John A. (Jennie) Jones, 1002 Union St.; Mrs. Lloyd (Blodwyn) Houlton, 803 West Eighth ave.; Mrs. W. G. Roberts, Parsons; Mrs. Roy (Mary) Davis, 224 East Sixth Ave. and Mrs. William N. Lucille Smelser Jr., 804 West Eighth Ave.

Brodie Rites Friday
Graveside services for Herbert Brodie, formerly of Emporia, who died Sunday in San Francisco, Calif., will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery south of Emporia. They will be conducted by the Rev. David W. Isaac, pastor of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church. Military services will be conducted by Ball-McColm Post 5 of the American Legion.
