This is very likely Addison TINSLEY and not TUESLEY as previously listed (there is no such surname on the rosters); he was born about 1846 in Pike Co., MO, and enlisted as a Private in Co.F, 18th USCT (confirmed inscription on marker) 8/19/1864; he was promoted to Corp. on 11/1/1864; he died in a Huntsville, AL post hospital of small pox on 2/20/1866 and was initially buried there in plot #30 before being removed to the Chattanooga cemetery. A claim by his owner with the same name is made in Dec. 1866; although there is a early note that Tinsley "is reported to be a Rebel," it looks to have been approved. Also on 30 Sept. 1890, Addison Tinsley's mother, Mary Lewis, files a pension claim and the curious note is included that this name is an "Alias" for "Addison Lewis."
