She was born in Ashland, Ill November 23, 1932 to George and Agnes Davison Shockley. Emmagene married Mitchell Agers on Feb. 25, 1966, in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 2003 in Paducah, Ky.
Emma was former owner of Emma's Truck Stop in Bartonville and later worked in child care.
Emma was a member of Harvard Hills Baptist Church in Washington, Ill.
She was a NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr.; she also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Jerry) Fourdyce of Galesburg, Ill., Lloyd (Cindy) Reece Jr. of Peoria, Linda (Mark) Hunsucker of Kannapolis, N.C., Cindy (Bill) Rhodes of Peoria and Jennifer (Gary) Reatherford of Peoria; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Tristan Akers.
Cremation will be accorded following services.
