urday night by news of the killing
by lightning of Archie, the sixteen
year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B.
Covington, north of Burns. The boy
was returning from work about five
o'clock driving a team of horses, the
bolt killing both horses also. This
was a terrible shock to the mother,
especially, as she was but recovering
from news of the death of a brother
and his wife who had died within a
few days of each other. The Coving-
ton's had lived in Burns at one time,
the children attending school here.
Archie or Happy, as the boys well
named him, because of his sunny dis-
position was a great favorite. The
heart of his many friends are greatly
saddened and their sympathy as well
of the whole community goes out
to the grief stricken family. The fun-
eral services will be conducted from
the home Wednesday morning at 10
o'clock, with interment in the Burns
cemetery. The services of Mr. John
Huckfeldt, the undertaker of Cheyenne
were secured, with Mr. Noyes of
Burns as assistant.
