Mrs. Waldemar Lund and son Knute, were called to Des Moines, Iowa, last week by the serious illness of Mrs. Lund's daughter, Mrs. Ernest Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence had been ill for some time and she passed away on Sunday. Besides her mother and brother, and her husband she leaves a son, Dick, and a sister, who lives in Alaska. Last rites were held from the Danish Lutheran church in Diamond Lake yesterday, Wednesday afternoon. Friends here join in extending their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mr. Ernest Lawrence of Des Moins IA., accompanied by Mrs. Valdemar Lund drove to Minneapolis on Thursday morning to meet Mrs. Lund's daughter, Mrs. Jimmie Clarsch of Anchorage, Alaska, who arrived in Minneapolis that morning by plane. Due to a delay in obtaining plane reservations, Mrs. Clarsch was unable to reach here in time to attend the burial service for her sister, Mrs. Ernest Lawrence. On Saturday morning, Mr Lawrence and son, Dick, and Mrs. Clarson left for Des Moines after visiting relatives here and at Tyler for a couple of days following their return from Minneapolis.
