James Eugene Cashman, 30, of Reading RD 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cashman of Mill Run and husband of Elaine Larue Williams, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Carl O. Williams of 125 22nd Ave., died while swimming near Myerstown, Lebanon County, late yesterday afternoon.
An autopsy was scheduled this morning to determine whether death resulted from drowning or from a heart attack. The body is being returned to Altoona and friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Word of his death was received by the Cashman and Williams families last evening and Mr. and Mrs. Williams went to Reading this morning. James and his wife and three sons, his sister, Mrs. Sally Gordon of Rading, and friends and gone on a picnic and to swim yesterday afternoon.

Con't: Dairy Manager - James was serving as manager of the Tulpelocken Dairy in Wyomissing, a position he held since last October. Earlier he had served from 1953 to 1957 in the Air Force.
He was born in Altoona on Feb. 11, 1935, a son of Eugene and Rebecca (Russell) Cashman, and married Miss Williams on Nov. 30, 1957. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Allen J., Edwin M. and Darren S. all at the home, his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Edmiston of Altoona and Mrs. Gordon in Reading.
While in Altoona, James attended the Buckhorn Chapel of which his wife's uncle, the Rev. John Rabenstein, is pastor.
