Signer of the Association Test in Lempster making him one of the 24 on its Role of Honor. According to J Stevens, he may have moved to Lempster in 1772. In the book "The Plymouth Pilgrims" (sec. 25), he is listed as 'Dea.', son of Dea Eleazer. He was Deacon of the church in Lempster. He was Captain of Co I, Col. Fellow's Regiment 1776; Captain of Co. H (not 8), same Regiment, Sep & Oct 1777, which reinforced the army of Gen. Gates at Saratoga at the time of the surrender of Burgoyne's army on 17 Oct 1777. J Stevens notes that he received a cash payment in Sep 1777 (evidently from local tax records).
