Julius Diemer, 88, dies; rites Friday - Julius P. Diemer, a former Pontiac resident, seid Wednesday (November 13, 1974) at a nursing home in Tuscola. He had been in failing health some time. His funeral will be Friday at the Harris funeral home. The Rev. Orville Kalkwarf of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Southside Cemetery. Mr. Diemer was born July 26, 1886 in Union Township, a son of Jacob C. and Gertrude M. (Peterson) Diemer. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons, Julius E. and Emil, Pontiac; and Jacob M., Dwight; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Hoegger, Dwight; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Klyver, Pontiac, and Mrs. Magdaleen Venable, Streator; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. Memorials to First Lutheran Church.
