She was the daughter of John William and Dovie Lowe Jacobs Briley. She was born in Lawrence County, AL and grew up in the Wolf Springs community. On December 21, 1945, she married Roy Quinn. They had two children: Chester and Patsy.
She was a member of Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Quinn. She is survived by her son, Chester and wife, Doris Quinn, Moulton; daughter, Patsy and husband, Wendell Johnson, Town Creek; sisters, I.V. Hallmark and Berchie Grissom; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
