Monsignor Mieczysława Marszalika, of the Polish Diocese of Gorzów, although confined to a wheelchair in his last years, retained his posts in the curia and took part in all liturgical celebrations held in his diocese, including its processions.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1939, Marszalik, who held a diploma in theology, served among others as chaplain and for several years as chancellor of the Diocesan Curia of the Diocese of Gorzów.
Apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Gorzów, until the appointment of the Servant of God, Msgr. Wilhelm Pluta as its First Bishop, Marszalika was also a canon of the Reverend Chapter and a prelate with the title of Monsignor.
