Scarlet fever made its appearance in our town, selecting for its victim a bright-eyed little boy of Mr. Dreishause, who succumbed to the disease and was buried in the German cemetery last week. We sympathize with the afflicted parents. Josie Guenther had the fever but is now convalescing according to late reports. The fever does not seem to be spreading although it alarmed a great many of our citizens.
