Hazelene Freeman Bollinger
Hickory, N.C. - Hazelene Freeman Bollinger, of Hickory, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at her residence.
Born Dec. 24, 1940, in Burke County, she was the daughter of Carrie Stilwell Freeman and the late James Boyd Freeman.
Mrs. Bollinger enjoyed working in crafts and gardening.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Spc. 4 Gene Freeman and Danny James Freeman.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Bollinger of the home; a daughter, Patricia Ann Bartlett and husband, Robert, of Rhodhiss; a son, William Franklin Bollinger and wife, Karen, of Hickory; grandsons, William Brannon Bollinger and wife, Breann, of Durham, Devon Wilson Bollinger of Hickory, Michael Lee Lingerfelt and Franklin Drew Hawkins and wife, Elizabeth, all of Granite Falls, Walter Dale Hawkins and fiancee, Ashlyn Lowe of Rhodhiss; one great-granddaughter, Kailynn Gail Bollinger of Durham; four sisters, Christine Robinson and husband, Glenn, of Hildebran, Shirley Franklin and husband, Bill, of Connelly Springs, Ailene McCraken and husband, Bill, and Rita Setzer and fiance, Ken Little, all of Hickory; and a brother, Benny Ray Freeman of Connelly Springs.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Longview Church of God, with Pastor C.L. Simmons officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Dale Hawkins, Drew Hawkins, Michael Lingerfelt, Brannon Bollinger, Devon Bollinger and Mark Robinson.
