Becker - The funeral of Mrs. Malinda Becker, widow of the late Charles H. Becker who died at her home, 212 West Jefferson street at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 1916, will be held this (Tuesday) afternoon at the residence at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. S.H. Boyer, pastor of the Central Baptist church, officiating. Her six sons will act as pallbearers.
The deceased has lived in Springfield the last forty-one years. She is survived by six sons, Oscar A., Arthur T., Julius C., Walter T., Horace W., and Carl H. Becker; one daughter, Mrs. William Knorn of Los Angeles, Cal.; three brothers, Charles Wilms of Medicine Lodge, Kas., and Louis Wilms of Loraine, Kas., who will arrive this morning, and Henry S. Wilms of this city, four sisters, Mrs. George Miller and Mrs. Hanna Kirberg of Chicago, who arrived last night; Mrs. Emily Rannes of Upper Alton and Mrs. Georgia McAllister of Springfield; three grandsons and three grand-daughters.
Mrs. Becker was born in Fosterburg, Ill., October 28, 1854. She was 61 years, seven months and twenty-one days old. She was a devout Christian having been a member of the Cenrtal Baptist church twenty-five years.
