James H. Cole Dead
Mr. James H. Cole, aged 78 years, 3 months and 19 days, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie Manchester, in Kenilworth, Utah, on Saturday, July 21st, 1930. The remains were brought to Cherokee and funeral services were held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dale Adams on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. E.W. Spencer of Columbus. Burial was in the Cherokee cemetery.

Mr. Cole was a resident in the Maplewood district, southwest of here, for many years. He was visiting with his daughter in Utah where he had been for about two months, when he died suddenly from a heart attack. Besides the two daughters already mentioned, he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. William Reynolds of Baxter Springs and Mrs. William Williamson of Girard; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Martin of Seneca, Mo.; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
