Soul Singer. The "Charles" of the soul duo Charles & Eddie (Chacon), who scored a #13 Billboard Hot 100 hit in 1992 with the single "Would I Lie To You?" from their album "Duophonic." He studied jazz singing at Berklee College of Music in Boston and was lead singer of the band Down Avenue, which won radio station WBCN's 1985 "Rock 'n' Roll Rumble." In 1998, he toured with the Tom Tom Club (Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth), and went on to join the group, co-writing and singing on several of its songs until cancer forced him to leave and eventually caused his passing.
