She was a registered nurse and had served as public health nurse in Johnson county during World War II. She and her husband, Thomas W. Edmonds, who died in 1961, owned the former Welborn Velvet Freeze store in Kansas City from 1950 to 1961.
Mrs. Edmonds was a member of the First United Methodist church in McLouth. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves two sons, Thomas W. Edmonds, Jr., of the home, and Robert E. Edmonds, New York; and two grandchildren.
