Born April 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late James and Ora Webb Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Harris Sr.; a son-in-law, Edgar L. Lam; one grandson, one grand-daughter and one great-grand-daughter.
She is survived by her children, Frances Lam of Ruckersville, Virginia, Howard Harris and his wife, Lorine, of Ruckersville, Virginia, E. A. "Red" Harris and his wife, Beverly, of Zephyrhills, Florida, Russell Harris and his wife, Alison, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Paul Harris and his wife, Virginia, of Scottsville, Virginia, and George Harris Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Zephyrhills, Florida; 20 grand-children, 42 great-grand-children and 20 great-great- grandchildren.
She lived her Christian faith and attended the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren. She will be missed by everyone.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Teague Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dawn Lare and Pastor Keith Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2008, at Teague funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903, or a charity of choice.
