GAR Post 106-Officer of the GuardLast name also spelled Tabasash. Was elected to the office of Registrar of Emmet County prior to 1863. In 1863 he enlisted in Co. K, 1st Michigan Sharpshooters, a regiment whose history has been recorded in the book, "These Men Have Seen Hard Service" by Raymond Herek. He was honorably discharged in 1865, holding the rank of sergeant. Gravesite is across the path from that of Payson Wolfe, who served with him in Co. K.
