Mildred B. Hillmann, 92, formerly of Reedsville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at North Ridge Care Center in Manitowoc. She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late August and Lena (Bubolz) Reschke. She married Carl Hillmann on July 15, 1934, at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. She farmed with her husband in the Town of Rockland, until they retired in 1976 and moved to Brillion. They later moved to the Reedsville Manor in 2001. Mildred was a lifelong member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Reichardt, Valders; and Kathy (Gary) Wallander, Whitelaw; three sons, Russell (Ethel) Hillmann, Reedsville; Jerome (Rosemary) Hillmann, Brillion; and William (Nancy) Hillmann, also of Reedsville; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on Nov. 11, 2004; a son-in-law, Gerald Reichardt; an infant daughter; and one sister, Helen Hillmann.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville, is assisting the Hillmann family with arrangements.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff at North Ridge Care Center for the excellent care given to mom.
