She was born March 15, 1916, in Haverhill, a daughter of John and Irene Theodore.
She married Chris C. Abatzis on June 21, 1936, in Haverhill.
She and her husband moved to from Haverhill to West Bath in 1939 and purchased a home there. They owned and operated the Witch Spring Inn for several years where she gained a reputation as an excellent cook. Patrons always looked forward to her pastries.
She is predeceased by her husband who died June 5, 1973; two sisters, Myra Metaxis and Beatrice Skiadis; and a brother, Charles Theodore.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her guardian, Peter Liakopoulos of Bath.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements are by avid E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.
