Services for Jean Wilcher will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM, at the Zebedee Baptist Church, Rayville, LA. Burial will follow in Greer Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.
Jean Wilcher was born August 27, 1932 in Archibald and passed away April 14, 2008 at St. Francis North Hospital, Monroe, LA. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was the owner and operator of Wilcher's Grocery in Rayville and Zebedee Grocery. She had a very special relationship with her sister-in-law, Otis Fuller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clifton Wilcher; sister, Lessie Gordon; parents, John and Sudie Walters Wells.
Survivors include her 6-Children, Michael Wilcher and wife, Cathy of Shipshewana, Indiana, Sandra Mangold and husband, Billy of Three Rivers, Michigan, Ricky Wilcher and wife, Janie of Rayville, Cheryl Ratcliff and husband, Leroy of Rayville, Pam Wilcher and Reggie Guynes of Rayville, Mark Wilcher and wife Rose of Rocky Branch, LA; 17-Grandchildren; 22-Great-Grandchildren with one more expected; 3-Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Noel Chriceol, Danny Spencer, Ronnie Spencer, Devon Gordon, James Spillers, and Jeff Spillers. Honorary Pallbearer is Dr. Thompson.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.
