She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 12, 1930 a daughter of the late William and Ruth Dudley Hyler.
She was the loving wife of Walter James Broughman of Low Moor for 58 years.
Mrs. Broughman was the manager of The Dairy Bar on Fairview Heights in Clifton Forge for many years and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Virginia Underwood of Clifton Forge and Mrs. Lottie Nicely of Northern Virginia.
In addition to her husband she was the loving mother of Beryl Little of Covington, Walter Broughman, Jr. of Covington, James and Catherine Riley of Low Moor, Roger and Maudine Broughman of Clifton Forge, Nettie Wolfe of Clifton Forge, John W. Broughman of Roanoke, Raymond and Sally Broughman of Low Moor, Robert "Bob" Broughman of Roanoke and Clyde and Shirley Broughman of Clifton Forge. She is also survived by twenty five grandchildren and thirty one great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her special friends from Hospice as well as her best friend Josephine Paitsel.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Jarome Hyler.
Interment was in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
