Paul Hindenlang, 85, of rural Decatur, died on Monday in Adams County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 30, 1918 in Adams County to George and Murdie Willermoundt Hindenlang.
He married Clara M. High on December 14, 1940; she died on September 13, 1987.
He retired from Central Soya in Decatur (now Bunge North America) in 1982 and was a member of Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur and Mt. Zion United Brethren Church at Bobo.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Terry (Shirley) King of Westville, Ohio, and Louise Ray, Mrs. Bob (Kate) Counterman, Mrs. James (Irene) Lloyd, and Mrs. Michael (Diana) Bauman, all of Decatur; two sons, Larry "Bud" Hindenlang of Fort Wayne and Garry "Jake" Hindenlang of Willshire, Ohio; a sister. Mildred Swygart of Chester, South Carolina; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in IOOF Cemetery at Convoy, Ohio.
Visiting hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the Heart Club of Adams County and to the American Diabetes Association.
