He was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and the Mass. Institute of Technology in 1921. He was a veteran of World War I and a 50-year member of Benjamin Berry American Legion Post in Unity.
For many years he was associated with his brothers in the operation of the Maplewood Lumber Co. in Unity. He was also engaged in farming and operated Woodbine Terrace Hotel in Unity. (Later called the Judson House.)
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma (Hemphill) Whitehouse of Unity; two sons, Glendon of Amherst, N. H., and Frederick of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Unity Union Church (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel)
