Martha Riedell, 85, of Rice Lake died Oct. 7 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with the Rev. Russell Sorensen officiating and interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.
Mrs. Riedell was born Sept. 7, 1923 to Nicholas and Laura (Lewis) Larson in the Town of Long Lake. On April 14, 1947 she married Reuben Riedell in Center City, Minn., and they resided in Rice Lake. In addition to her family, she enjoyed playing the piano, playing Scrabble, baking and embroidery.
She is survived by her husband, Reuben; four daughters, Laurel Weck of Burnsville, Minn., Bonnie Walters of St. Paul, Minn., Carol Hauck of Kailua, Hawaii and Christine Riedell of Oakland, Calif.; two sons, Ralph of Casey Township and Mark of Birchwood; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
