Florence David, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully Sunday, October 26, 2008, in Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center. She was 87 years of age.
Florence was born on October 24, 1921 in Detroit, daughter of the late John and Mary (Marinkowski) Buczkowski. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Emery, on June 26, 1943 in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple made their home in Detroit until moving to Fraser in 1952 and Clinton Twp. in 1966. Florence worked for the Warren Consolidated Schools as a custodian for many years. She was a former member of the Fraser Senior Citizens. Florence enjoyed crochet, knitting and traveling with her husband, visiting all 50 states. Florence was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Florence is survived by her loving sons, Kenneth [Cynthia] and Jerome (Marta) and her seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery, on January 11, 2001, infant granddaughter Anita Marie and sister, Irene Bunner.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, on Wednesday from 2pm till 9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated in San Francesco Catholic Church, 22870 S. Nunneley Rd., Clinton Twp, Thursday at 10am. Additional visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 9:30am till time of mass. Memorials may be addressed to Karmanos Cancer Foundation or Leader Dog.
