Damien Terriault was born in Montreal, he went to Vercheres to learn Dentistry, but had to quit in his last year because of his father's sudden death. He married Maria Desmarais and they settled in Lachine Quebec where he got a job as a manager at Dominion Bridge Company. They had a total of 16 children, 11 of which grew to adulthood, 5 girls and 6 boys. He lost his wife in 1918 in the flu pandemic and never remarried. He was very close to his children. He had many granchildren and great grandchildren.
He was my grandfather, and according to both my parents he was a very fine man with high principals.
