Frank married Anna Struzel on June 2, 1915 in Calumet. Together, they had five children: Edward, James, Ann, Theresa, and Gertrude. Edward and Theresa preceded their father in death; Edward died of non-battle injuries in North Africa during World War II and Theresa died in infancy.
In his younger years, Frank worked as a janitor with the Calumet & Hecla Mining Company. He and his family appear to have been faithful attendees of St. Joseph's Church (now St. Paul's) in Calumet; his son Edward's name was displayed in the vestibule for his service, and Frank and Anna donated money in 1965 to decorate the church for its Diamond Jubilee.
Frank and Anna moved to Birmingham in Michigan's Lower Peninsula sometime before his death in 1977. He was survived by his wife and children James, Ann, and Gertrude. Frank's parents and his sisters Angela and Christine preceded him in death.
