Described on his World War I draft card as being of short stature and medium build, Albin held many occupations, including that of soft drink parlor proprietor. He also laid claim to the title of husband after marrying his wife Mary. With her, he had three sons.
Albin later moved from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Belleville, near Detroit, where he worked for Ford. He died in 1982 and was survived by his three sons and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Albin's wife and his siblings Frank, Angela, Christine preceded him in death.
