William C. Ritchie, 88, of 1305 N. Spring St., Gladwin, died Monday, October 7, 1991, at his home after a long illness. Born in Bay City, May 30, 1903, he had spent the last 25 years in Gladwin and Florida. He was a truck driver for a lumber company in the Detroit area. Mr. Ritchie and the former Mildred Haney were married February 27, 1954, in Detroit. She preceded him in death, March 2, 1985.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Bessie Ritchie of Gladwin 2 sisters, Mrs. Edna Brown of Gladwin and Mrs. Ida Myers of Swartz Creek, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William, April 27, 1972, one grandson and a great grandson.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Robert Kauffman will officiate and burial will be in the Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-9/1991 Column – 4 Page – 2.
