Services for Geraldine Butler, 85, of Post will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Graydon Howell and Travis Sweet officiating. Burial in the Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home of Post. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born November 11, 1922 in Garza County to O. R. and Agnes Cearley. She died Saturday, November 8 at Covenant Medical Center.

She married Stanley Butler on December 3, 1949 in Post. They operated Butler Butane for many years prior to their retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in the Post Art Guild, the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Caprock Cultural Association.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley of Post; three daughters, Peggy Howell and husband Graydon of Ingram, Stanna Welch and husband Gerhard Pigl of Universal City, Ritalynn Suidikas and husband Dale of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Dr. Duana Welch and husband Vic Hariton, and Mace Welch, all of Austin; and two great-grandchildren, Julia Cameron and Bear Hariton, both of Austin.
