Andrew was the son of Adam Pringle and Margaret HENDERSON of Roberton and Yarrow, Selkirkshire, Scotland, there is an Adam born to Wm Pringle of Roberton, christened December 25, 1759, mother is not named. Andrew married May 29, 1789 in ROBERTON, SELKIRK, SCOTLAND. Their 9 children (Andrew's siblings) born in Selkirk, Scotland in the following cities as follows:

Andrew, married abt 1818 (first live child born 1819) to Elizabeth Pringle(b. 10-15-1800 Dumfries, Scotland), supposedly not a cousin, worked as a shepherd and laborer,
1850 immigrated from Roxburgh, Scotland to New York 1850 on ship Sir Harry Smith: Andrew, 54 & wife "Betsy", 56; with 10 children:
Adam, 32; Margaret, 25; Elizabeth, 23; Isabella, 24, James, 23; Wm and twin Jane, 20; Robert, 12; "Betsy", 9; Helen, 2; Elizabeth, infant.
following their son, Robert who immigrated 1848 to Ontario, New York, the parents living in NY 3 years then moving abt 1851 to Marshall Co., IL until Andrew's 1870 death, Eliz passed 17 years later, 1887. Their 10 children, named in above source,
Adam, October, 1819, and died November 7, 1863;
Robert, of this review;
Jessie, April, 1823, and died in July, 1841 , Scotland
James, April, 1826, and died in April, 1892.
William and Jane, twins, January, 1829, they died July 4, 1873/ April 29, 1883 ;
Christina, 1832 and died in 1837 in Scotland
John, 1835 and died in 1836 in Scotland
Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" TROWBRIDGE, 1839 and is living in Phillips county, Colorado (1907), being the only living member of the family with the exception of our subject.
The aunt and uncle followed would be the DAVIDSON's and BURNETT'S.
Son, Robert, became prominent and has a biography written in: The Biographical Record of Bureau, Marshall and Putnam Counties, Illinois, Published in Chicago: The S. J. Clarke Publishing Company. 1896. - Marshall county Biographical extractions pages 100-199
Andrew's sister, Isabel, married Thomas Burnett and they immigrated to Chicago, IL 1854 with their 11 children, then by 1859 move to LaPrarie, IL near her brother, Andrew.
Andrew, his sister, their Pringle and Burnett families are buried in same cemetery United Presbytarian Church Cem. in LaPrairie, IL.
