She was the adopted daughter of Rev. James Warren Jones and his wife, Marceline Mae Baldwin Jones. She married fellow ex-temple member, Mike Cartmell. She and her husband left the People's Temple in 1973 and were outspoken opponents of the temple's treatment of it's members. She died of colon cancer. She is survived by two children.
