MOUNT KISCO--
Alexander Williams of 10 Sycamore Terrace, Mahopac, died at Norther Westchester Hospital here on Sunday after a brief illness. He was 60. Williams was born in Bayside, New York and educated in Long Island schools. He was past chief of the Mahopac Falls volunteer fire department, and at the time of his death was a vice president of the department. He had been a member of the force for over 20 years. Williams also belonged to a number of state-wide fire-fighting organizations, including the Volunteer Firemen's Assocaiation of New York State, where he served as sergeant-at-arms; the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs; the Fire Service Chaplains Association; and the Mid-Hudson Harlem Valley Fire Chiefs Association, where he served as president. He was also a member of the Cortlandt Lodge No. 34 of the Masons and the Putnam County P.B.A. Williams is survived by his mother, Ruth Williams and his wife Esther of the home address; a daughter Sandra Snyder of Australia and a grandson.
