My great-Uncle Michael Tague was born in Airdrie, Lanark County, Scotland to Irish parents John Joseph Tague(1859-1937) and Margaret Gilmartin(1861-1929). He was one of seven children: Thomas, Michael I(died as infant), Michael, Mary, Anna, Hugh and John.
Michael at age 26 immigrated to the United States with his sister Anna only 18 years old on July 27, 1913, they came through Ellis Island. They came to an Aunt's home in Youngstown, Ohio, the aunt and an uncle's and his family were the first of their family to come to the USA. The aunt Mary Tague and uncle John Savage, Michael and his sister Anna would be the only ones of their family to make their home in the USA.
Michael married Sarah Connelly(1901-1972), from Scotland in New Jersey about 1926 and had 5 children together: Michael, Rosina, John Joseph, Hugh James and James F.(twins)
Michael is laid to rest with his wife Sarah and Mother Margaret in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, Bergen County, New Jersey.
