Mrs. Lawrence, the daughter of Charlie Clemons and Mamie Williams, went on to her heavenly reward at the Oconee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was educated in the Putnam County School System, and lived a long wonderful life. She had a loving spirit and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mr. Grady Lawrence; and one son, Mr. Grady Lawrence, Jr., and his wife Linda of Eatonton, Georgia; daughters, Ms. June Williams of Eatonton, Georgia, and Mrs. Mary Williams Ross of Macon, Georgia; Five grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Luvenia (Albert) Farley of Eatonton, Georgia, and Mrs. Lucille Miller of Jacksonville, Florida; mother-in-law, Mrs. Rosa Mae Lawrence of Eatonton, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Mr. J.T. Lawrence and a devoted brother-in-law, Mr. Johnny Lawrence both of Eatonton, Georgia; devoted cousins, Mr. Joe Henry Mathis, Charlie and Dianne Mathis, and Ms. Mattie Williams of Milledgeville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Mrs. Martha (Lorenzo) Waller of Eatonton, Georgia; special friends, Ms. Marion Andrews and Ms. Minnie Smith of Eatonton and Mary Mathis of Milledgeville, Georgia; and, a host of extended family members and friends. The Celebration of Life was held on October 3, 2001 at County Line Primitive Baptist Church on Highway 212 in Milledgeville, Georgia. Elder Thomas Hudson officiated.
