Nova was the last child of Melba "Millie" Josephine Washington Allien and Thomas Benjamin Allien, AKA Thomas Allen Wright. She married Jasper Benjamin Bass and they had two children: An infant son and daughter Joyce Faye. My most vivid memories of her were of her sitting in her rocking chair with a big smile on her face just watching us play. She and Jasper were the only Great Grandparents I ever knew. For some reason, The two of them didn't open their Christmas presents. They would just sit back and watch us tear into ours. When we were finished, the Great Grandkids would "help" them tear into their gifts and present each one to them for inspection.
