BAXTER - Funeral services for Cora Allen Brindley, 87, of Baxter, will be
held Monday, August 11, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home, with
burial in the Rock Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Brindley died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997, at Generations of Spencer in
Spencer, TN.
Born June 13, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Polly Crook
Uhles. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Her family includes three sons, Leon Brindley of Baxter, Charlie Brindley of
Portland and Harold Brindley of Baxter; four daughters, Tommie Jean Scott of
Sparta, Linda Helms of Goodlettsville; three sisters, Nell Uhles of Baxter,
Dessie Thompson of Buffalo Valley and Mary Brown of Baxter; 24
grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and several greatgreatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Andy
Brindley, and a host of brothers and sisters.
