The headstones were made in the family quarries at Lithonia, and read: Nathaniel Venable/ 1781-1832/ son of Captain John Venable/ and Agnes Moorman

The cemetery is fenced, and approximately 50 feet by 25 feet, just off a road, about 2 miles south of Jefferson, Jackson Co., GA. He obtained permission from the current owner of the land surrounding the cemetery, Ed Davis, before clearing the cemetery. He placed a sign on the gate marking it as the "Venable Family Cemetery." There is a map in The Venable Letter, Vol II, Issue 2, Sep/Oct, p.2.
