Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 27, at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Boone was born on September 28, 1921, in Greensboro, a son of the late Edwin Eugene Boone, Sr. and Elizabeth Fogelman Boone. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Commerce and from Duke Law School. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was stationed in the Pacific during World War II. He was a practicing lawyer in Greensboro for 56 years. He was a member of the Greensboro Kiwanis Club and Greensboro Country Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Cox, of Greensboro.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth S. Boone, of Frisco, Texas; son, William E. Boone and wife, Jan, of Frisco, Texas; three granddaughters, Marie Schoen and husband, Joe, Grayson Boone and Kaleigh Boone and a great-granddaughter, Sydney Schoen.
