Phil was born in Whiston hospital in 1977 and passed away in Whiston hospital in 2008 aged 31.
Phil attended Ashurst Primary School and then went onto Parr High School.
After leaving school Phil's ambition was to go to college to study to become a Sound Engineer, but he started an apprenticeship in the summer holidays and said that he liked the money too much.
He has worked at a variety of places and was never one to not work. He worked for a stairlift company in St Helens and from there moved into the Auto Security field where he spent most of his working life. His final job was doing research and development and he loved this as it enabled him to learn many new things and he also got to travel.
He was a loving husband who I met in 1996 when he came to a party at the dance school were I worked. We never looked back from there and got engaged on my 21st in 1997. We moved into our home in 1999 and finally married on the 21st April 2001 in Gretna Green.
We had many amazing holidays most noteably to Cancun and our favourite holiday of all to Florida in April 2006 for our 5th wedding anniversary. Phil said to me only days before he passed away that he wished he could build a time machine and go back and sit in a loop in the 2 weeks we were in Florida.
He was diagnosed with AML in October 2006 and had a bone marrow transplant in April 2007 which seemed to work but then he had a relapse and passed away on the 4th August 2008.
