Elizabeth "Lizzie" was the granddaughter of Whatcom County pioneers, George Sr. and Elizabeth (Metcalf) Slater. She married Otto Brown on 18 Jan 1926 in Ferndale. They had no children.

Lizzie is the little girl in this picture, with her mother and brothers.

Lizzie's nieces and nephews called her "Aunt Stub" because she was so short, only 4'11".
