Excerpt--age 79, of Frederick, Md., died Feb. 28, 2005. She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Rowlesburg, the d/o the late Parker Charles and Mary Elizabeth Wotring Ayersman. She graduated from Rowlesburg H.S., and attended the school of nursing at Heiscall (should read Heiskell) Memorial Hospital. During WW II she was employed as a lab technician at Armco Steel, and later as secretary of Rowlesburg H. S. She spent most of her career in the Frederick Co. School system. She is survived by five children and spouses; Barbara Ann Burdette of Harrington, DE, Elizabeth L. and Phil Brohawn of Jefferson, Susie and Donald Green of Walkersville, Nancy L. Lowery and fiance Mike Davenport of Frederick, and Paul R. and Karen Shaffer of Westlawn, Pa; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lynn Morris Shaffer; three sisters and two brothers. Internment was in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
