Rites Today For Marcos JIMENEZ
Mass will be said at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church for Marcos JIMINEZ, 79. Funeral will be held at the home, 2341 Green, at 1 p.m. Saturday with Father Patrick WHELAN officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery with Elliott's Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. JIMENEZ died at his home Thursday.
He was born in Old Mexico and worked for the city of Abilene for 13 years before retiring. His wife died in 1960, but he is survived by 211 direct descendants.
Among survivors are six sons, Pedro, Amadeo, Marcos, Serapio and Benito, all of Abilene, and Lupe of Lido, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Manuela NARENTES of Hamlin and Miss Felicita JIMENEZ of Old Mexico; 71 grandchildren, 107 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
