KILBANE, Amalia Mrs. Amalia Garcia Ortiz Kilbane, 81, entered into eternal rest early Sunday morning, November 30, 2008, at Trident Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Edward Kilbane, Jr. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Kilbane are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Friday morning, December 5, 2008, at ten o'clock. The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Thursday between seven and nine o'clock, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at seven o'clock. Mrs. Kilbane was born May 10, 1927 in Sasabe, Arizona and was the daughter of the late Ruperto and Manuela Garcia Ortiz. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She is survived by four sons and a daughter, James C. Kilbane of North Charleston, Ronald E. Kilbane of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Earl L. Kilbane of Los Vegas, Nevada, Wayne S. Kilbane of Yokota, Japan and Yvonne M. Kilbane of North Charleston; six grandchildren, Matthew Hall, Dana Anne, Amanda Lindsey, Maegan Elizabeth, Francis Scott and Christopher Edward; and two great grandchildren, Denver and Mathis. Also surviving are two sisters and a brother, Hortencia Garcia of Tucson, Arizona, Bertha Phillips of Colonial Heights, Virginia and Rupert G. Ortiz of Tucson, Arizona. Siblings who preceded her in death were Ophelia Burfield, Suzanna Adkins, Anna Groover, Margaret Barker and Oscar Ortiz.
