George Fety, 79, a manufacturing jeweler in Portland for more than 50 years, died Saturday at his home, 1512 S. E. Madison street.
Born in San Francisco March 20, 1871, Mr. Fety came to Portland as the age of 6 with his family. His father was in the jewelry trade here. George and his brother Emile, founded Fety Bros, After Emile's death George Fety continued the business in the Park building until last October.
Mr. Fety was a member of Willamette Masonic lodge. Surviving are the widow, Irene, and nephews and nieces.
