Mrs. Nettie Mae Roberts, 75, of 2418 Kirkwell Ave., Lynn Haven, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at a local hospital. Mrs. Roberts has been a lifelong resident of Bay County, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Roberts is survived by four sons: James L. Roberts and wife Darlene of Sharon, S.C., Byrd C. Roberts, of Oviedo, Jackie R. Roberts of Lynn Haven and John Roberts of Panama City; two daughters, Annette Roberts of Panama City and Alice Johnson and husband Joe of Lynn Haven; a sister, Robbie Forehand of Panama City; and a brother, James C. Posey and wife Betty of Bayou George; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Lee Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 27, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Rick Capote, Donald Halley, Kevin Shellnut, Jason Henderson, Billy Clark and Doug Roberts.
