OBITUARY: 20 July 1918--MACON CHRONICLE HERALD-- AGED WOMAN DIED AT HER HOME YESTERDAY--Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, wife of L. A. Rogers, passed away at her home on South Rubey street yesterday at 3:30 p.m. after a illness of several weeks. She was born in Monroe county, Mo., February 17, 1833. She was united in marriage to L. A. Rogers in Randolph county October 13, 1853. To this union were born nine children, three sons and six daughters: Sina, a daughter, died in childhood; Frank and Charles Rogers died several years ago. She is survived by an aged husband and five daughters: Mrs. Mary D. Judy, of Lawrence, Kansas; Mrs. George T. Clarke, of Helena, Oklahoma; Mrs. W. S. Walker, Mrs. J. P. Brown and Mrs. D. T. Whitcomb all of Macon, and George Rogers, of Shenandoah, Iowa. One brother, George Ratliff of Moberly, and two sisters are left to mourn their loss. Short funeral services will be held at the residence Sunday morning July 21 and at 11 A.M. Rev. Sneed of Clarence, will have charge of the funeral at Bethlehem church. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
